The slip ring used in aircraft is an electrical connector that many critical systems such as engine control, throttle control, wing & flap control, aircraft communication and navigation rely on for transmitting power and signals. Once the slip ring malfunctions, it may cause system failure and pose a risk to flight safety.
HME Machining utilizes 5-axis CNC machining to ensure the reliability and stability of the slip ring and manufactures the body and insulation layer using stainless steel and fiber-reinforced plastic, respectively. In addition, to ensure the product's performance in harsh environments, we use plating surface treatment process and conduct repeated durability and reliability tests. The final product boasts a surface finish of 0.1 microns and a tolerance of ±5 microns.
